The Girls’ Toilet Project at Tisgaon Vidyalay represents more than just infrastructure—it symbolizes dignity, safety, and equal opportunity. For many young girls in rural India, the absence of clean sanitation leads to absenteeism, health risks, and even school dropouts. By completing this facility, we ensure that 150 girls can attend school confidently and without hesitation.
This initiative aligns directly with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), ensuring every child, especially girls, has access to safe and hygienic facilities. The design includes proper ventilation, durable tiling, water pipeline, and an overhead tank, ensuring sustainability and long-term usability. Through this project, Satyashodhak Mahila Vikas Mandal (satyashodhak.org) continues its mission of transforming rural education environments with dignity and cleanliness.
A hygienic toilet facility is not just about health—it’s about confidence and continuity in education. With access to clean sanitation, girls are more likely to attend classes regularly, participate actively, and pursue their ambitions without barriers. Hygiene and privacy directly contribute to improved learning outcomes and emotional well-being, especially during adolescence.
Built with cement bricks and eco-efficient design, this project ensures durability and minimal maintenance cost.

The Girls’ Toilet Project is a rural sanitation initiative by Satyashodhak Mahila Vikas Mandal aimed at providing a clean, ventilated, and safe toilet facility for 150 girl students at Tisgaon Vidyalay. The project promotes hygiene, dignity, and gender equality in education.
Lack of sanitation is one of the biggest reasons for school absenteeism among rural girls. A hygienic toilet encourages regular attendance, improves confidence, and ensures that girls continue their education without interruption.
The main structure is already completed. The project is in its final stage, requiring funds for tiling, coloring, and installation of the water pipeline with an overhead tank.
The total estimated cost is ₹60,000, covering tiling, plumbing, painting, and final finishing work. The project will be completed within two weeks of receiving the funds.
This initiative fits under Schedule VII (ii) of the Companies Act, 2013—“Promoting education, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.” It also aligns with UN SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 4: Quality Education.
The direct beneficiaries are 150 girl students of Tisgaon Vidyalay, while indirect beneficiaries include teachers, female staff, and nearby community members who gain access to hygienic sanitation facilities.
The toilet unit is built using cement bricks, proper ventilation, and water-efficient design. Its maintenance will be managed by the school management committee and Satyashodhak Mahila Vikas Mandal, ensuring regular cleanliness and functionality.
All donors and CSR partners will receive photographs, utilization reports, and completion certificates after project execution. Transparency and accountability are key values of Satyashodhak Mahila Vikas Mandal.
